This mix between past and presente is the central concept of the collection created in partnership with Portinari, which is based on the home archetype – dwelling, rest, shelter – to create contemporary products that celebrate rusticity and rediscover beauty in the simple materials that have shaped our history. The first material explored in the collection is soil – central to Brazilian vernacular architecture. In the Petra Taipa model, sintered stone slabs reproduce the tones and textures of rammed earth, with slabs and textures of organic design that shift between rustic and refined. The second model originates from a metal used by man since the dawn of civilization. After working with bronze, Marina and team moved on to brass, which lends its golden luster to the Petra Bronze slates, simulating a brushed metallic plate with golden nuances and a discreet relief.
